Room Hire
The Building has 3 function rooms, the main hall, the activity
room and a small Committee room, other facilities are a lounge bar, family and
games room and a kitchen. There is a comprehensive bar facility with a modern
cellar and beer storage area.
The main hall is licensed to hold up to a maximum of 200
people (180 function),
and has a self contained large bar area.
Our activity groups use the activity room, it is also
suitable for small children's parties and is licensed
to hold 50 persons.
The committee room is ideal for a small meeting room. The
room can hold approximately 15 persons, and is used by small groups such as The
Writers Circle, The Civil Service Pensions Association and the IT for Beginners
group.
The kitchen is mostly used by outside caterers for functions in the main hall.
These caterers may require bringing in extra heaters and utensils if required.

CONDITIONS OF HIRE
-
Hirers and visitors are not allowed to bring alcoholic drinks
onto the premises. All drinks including wine orders must be supplied by the
Association’s Licensee.

The Hirer must notify the Association as to the caterers 14 days
prior to the function. This is not applicable if family, and friends cater
the function.

Deposit – 50% of the booking fee is payable at time of confirming
booking and is non-refundable in any circumstance. Booking fee payable are
those current at the time deposit is paid.

Payment of balance must be made before the date of function.
Drinks accounts must be settled prior to function.

All property or goods whatsoever belonging to the hirer or his
agent shall be removed immediately at the conclusion of the hire at his own
cost.

The Association accepts no responsibility whatsoever for property
or goods left on any part of the Centre. The hirer shall be responsible of
his own insurance against any third party claims, which may be made against
him or his organization.

The hirer, during the period of hiring, shall be responsible for
supervision of the premises, fabric and contents, the safety thereof from
damage however slight or other change of any sort, and behaviour of all
persons using the Centre whatever their capacity, including proper
supervision of car parking arrangements so as to avoid obstruction on or off
the Centre site.

The use of electric heating, lighting and sound equipment will
remain under the control of the Association at all times. No alterations or
additions are to be made to electrical equipment and stage lighting is to be
returned to the set pattern at the end of the period of hire. Special
arrangements must be made when sound equipment or a piano is required.
Noise volumes are to be kept below nuisance level and the Duty Person has
standing instructions to switch off apparatus producing excessive noise.

Where licensed bar facilities have been requested, the Bar will
close at 11 p.m.. Should you require a Bar Extension to 11.30 p.m. it is at
the Managers discretion and it will cost £10.00.

No notices, posters, plans or decorations are to be fixed to any
part of the premises without prior permission.

Deliveries should be made between 9:30am and noon on the function
date.

The hirer shall be responsible for the observance of all
regulations appertaining to the Centre stipulated by the Licensing Justices,
the Fire Authority, and the Local Authority or otherwise and for complying
with the General Rules governing the use of the Community Centre. The hirer
shall not sub-let or use the Centre for any unlawful purpose or in any
unlawful way nor do anything to bring onto the premises anything which may
endanger the Centre, its users, licences or any insurance polices relating
thereto.

The hirer shall indemnify the Association against the cost of
repair or any damage done to any part of the Centre including the curtilage
and contents thereof during or as a result of this booking. The hirer shall
leave the Centre in a clean and tidy condition.

No gas cylinders or material creating a fire risk must be brought
onto the Centre. In no circumstances must any emergency or other exit be
blocked or restricted in any manner.
